Arnica Flowers

Arnica flowers may help reduce swelling and improve blood flow, while stimulating the lymphatic system.

Preparations: Poultice, bath, infusion (topical application), gel, mouthwash. *Not intended for oral consumption.

Energetics- very warm, drying

Key constituents- sesquiterpene lactones (arnifolin, arnicolides, helenalin), flavonoids, volatile oils (including thymol), phenolic acids, coumarins, resins, bitters (arnica), tannins, and carotenes.

Contraindications: allergies to arnica or to any plant in the Asteraceae (sunflower) family such as chamomile, yarrow, etc *Do not apply to broken skin.
